## When to Use This Skill

Analytic rubrics with observable descriptors turning subjective grading into calibrated judgment.
Use it whenever a matching task appears in conversation — the agent loads these instructions on demand.

## Steps

1. Derive criteria from objectives, max 5 dimensions
2. Describe each performance level observably ('cites two sources') not adverbially ('excellent')
3. Pilot on three sample works spanning quality; refine wording collisions
4. Grade blind where feasible; re-score a 10% sample for consistency
5. Give rubric to students BEFORE submission, use it for peer/self-checks
6. Analyze score distributions; a criterion everyone aces is noise

## Common Pitfalls

- Holistic vibes graded differently at 9pm vs fresh morning
- Rubrics written after grading to justify scores
