# Grill
Grill by reconstructing material decision branches from the proposal, repository evidence, and user-owned choices, then select one highest-impact unresolved branch. Resolve technical branches from evidence and the responsible owner. When a surviving branch needs a user-owned decision, name the consequence, ask one question with a recommendation and tradeoff, and wait before advancing dependent work; continue independent authorized work.
Resolve repository-answerable facts yourself and put only user-owned decisions to the user. Grilling ends only when every material branch is answered, repository-resolved, assigned to an owner, or explicitly deferred with its consequence; a branch is material when it can change the plan, implementation, authority, failure behavior, or proof. Summarize decisions, assumptions, and residual risks only after all branches are terminal, then wait for explicit confirmation before acting. An explicit grill-only or phase-only request ends at that boundary; unresolved business choices or external-effect authority still stop their dependent action.
