# Plain

Restate the supplied text, named passage, or your previous answer when no target is specified. Lead with what happens or what the statement means. Use short sentences and concrete examples where they help.

Preserve conditions, exceptions, uncertainty, and distinctions such as raw input versus validated data. Keep a technical term when its exact meaning matters and explain it briefly. Do not replace it with a misleading analogy.

Stay within the original meaning. Do not add advice, new claims, a lecture about clarity, or a preamble about simplifying. If the source is ambiguous, identify the ambiguity instead of silently choosing an interpretation.
